March 13, 2020

Dear North Love Baptist Church family and friends,

Recently, our local health department and government officials announced stringent restrictions on public meetings, including church services in our county, in an effort to stop the spread of the coronavirus into our community.  Because of our commitment  to comply with Romans 13:1 to “be subject unto the higher powers” we are actively pursuing steps to obey.  At the same time, we are conscious of the necessity of assembling ourselves together as a church (see Hebrews 10:25).  At a valuable and productive meeting Friday, March 13, we met with leaders in our congregation including medical personnel, pastors, deacons, and others. The consensus we prayerfully achieved is related to THIS COMING SUNDAY, March 15.  Decisions concerning scheduled church meetings beyond this week, including Wednesday programs, will be determined early next week as the legal ramifications continue to change moment by moment.

For this Sunday we are recommending that everyone who would normally attend church services here at the East Riverside location, seek to watch the services at or find us on Facebook at  There will be no Sunday School and no nurseries or children’s programs provided for those who wish to meet here with me and a handful of other workers who will participate in presenting the Word of God at both 10 A.M. and 6 P.M.

Our facilities will be completely sanitized before and after every service taking every precaution recommended by the Center for Disease Control’s guidelines.  Those individuals who are ill or elderly need to be particularly careful.  We love you and want to see you well.

Please continue to be faithful in your tithes and offerings this first day of the week and in the near future.  We have a secure giving portal at  You may also come by the church office during regular operating hours Monday through Friday to do your giving.   Gifts will be secured and cared for as always by our trustworthy finance officers.  You may also use the postal service to send checks or money orders.  This is not just important, it is imperative!

In all of this turmoil, may we remember that “God hath not given us the spirit of fear;  but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”  2 Timothy 1:7  And let us pray “for kings, and for all that are in authority;  that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.”  1 Timothy 2:2

Please let other church family and friends  know of the change this Sunday, and seek to help provide internet services to watch livestream for those who are not equipped to do so.

God bless you.  We will have the office open this Saturday from nine until noon to direct you to those who can answer any questions you may have on this matter.

 Pastor Kingsbury
